THE NAME
Kalicoo is a play on the word 'calico' -- a humble textile which influenced the course of human history through the world of art and global trade. Following this pattern, we see Kalicoo creating value for culture and communities everywhere, delivering a positive impact for future generations to come. With each leader's powerful story, we will continually weave new insights into the collective narrative of human achievement.
THE LOGO
The Kalicoo logo symbolises our connectivity. Individual lines of work are represented as single threads intersecting and tied to form new cords of fabric defining our mission and focus forward. The star signifies the first spark -- one from which all movements begin and draw upon. We pull together as builders sharing in every turn, loop, and phase of our early beginnings bringing our vision to life.
THE ARTIST
SAARA138 is an Australian artist whose original works embody an organic style, reflecting her skill with textiles and illustration. What we love about Saara’s designs is how they speak to the nature of our work as women in emerging tech – marking unique and individual strengths while drawing them together to deliver a new way of working in a growing industry. Her upcycling methods reflect our approach in encouraging transferable skills and knowledge sharing.
THE COLOURS
In black & white, Kalicoo is boldly signaling our presence and dedication to driving change with clarity and without fear. The colour yellow carries the promise of a radiant future, exuding energy, inspiring curiosity, and boosting confidence.
